LED Light Therapy For Acne
LED Light Therapy is based on significant research by NASA, showing that certain frequencies of light significantly reduce acne while stimulating collagen production*.
This breakthrough technology does not use heat or any “invasive” process but triggers the body to convert light energy into cell energy. LED light therapy is non-invasive, causes no inflammation, and requires no special post-treatment procedures.
It is proving to be an effective treatment for spotty skin (see research), as well as particular conditions such as Rosacea and other skin conditions.
Blue LED (430 – 450nm) Light attacks PP-9, producing singlet oxygen. This form of oxygen is very toxic to the bacteria that cause acne, therefore decreasing acne with absolutely no downtime.
Treatment times are short, and the visible effects are, in most cases immediate. The process helps to combat acne. After just one treatment, skin is visibly hydrated, smooth and radiant, while redness and irritation are calmed.
A course of treatments offers corrective and lasting improvement in the appearance and healthy skin*.

LED Light Therapy: What happens?
Before your LED Phototherapy, your skin will be assessed by your practitioner at the clinic, who will discuss what results you can expect to achieve and whether Phototherapy is the most effective treatment approach for your desired results.
During your Phototherapy treatment, a pore cleansing steam facial is performed to clean and free the skin of makeup. Skin care products and skin creams must be removed to allow the beneficial light to penetrate the skin.
Treatment usually lasts 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the treatment area and skin concern being treated. A LED (light – emitting diode) mask is placed over the face, delivering target light waves to activate skin cells, which help with anti-ageing, anti-acne and anti-pigmentation. The treatment is finished off with active serum applied to the face.
After your LED Phototherapy, results may be seen within a few days and can last for several months following a course of Phototherapy treatments. Maintenance treatments are advised to ensure lasting results*.
