HIFU Facelift is a relatively painless procedure.

Some of our more sensitive clients report feeling some discomfort in the form of focused warmth and tingly sensations.

While our clinician can turn down the intensity settings on the HIFU device in these instances, if you think it is applicable for you, you may take painkillers, such as ibuprofen, shortly before your appointment.

As the name suggests, the treatment can be done on almost all areas of the face.

However, the HIFU Facelift procedure can also be performed on surrounding areas such as the neck and décolletage.

The aftercare routine commonly comprises of doing the following:

• Drinking plenty of fluids (water is best)
• Protecting yourself from strong or direct sunlight
• Give up drinking alcohol for a few days
• Avoid washing with hot water, including hot baths or showers for a few days
• Do not scratch the treated area

Some patients are prescribed extra care HIFU aftercare supplements like HD Thermal Cream and C-TOX.

For the better part, HIFU Facelift is free from side effects.

Some clients, however, experience some mild redness and swelling following the in-clinic sessions.

These tend to subside fairly quickly, a few days at most.

Clients with sensitive skin may also feel a slight tingling in the treated areas for a few weeks.

There are only a few things you need to be mindful of in preparation for your HIFU treatment.

In the two weeks leading to your scheduled treatment session, be extra deliberate in protecting yourself from the sun.

It is not appropriate to perform HIFU procedures on tanned skin, whether the tan is from the sun or other sources.

You must stop the use of skin products that cause irritation, even if it is mild, at least a week before your in-clinic schedule.

On the day of your HIFU appointment, you must ensure that your face is clean and dry; you must not use any makeup or moisturiser.

Before you schedule your treatment appointment, be sure that at least two weeks have passed since you have taken the last dose of any prescription medicine.

Please note that we must insist that you reschedule your session if you have a fever or a cold sore on the day of your treatment.
