Day 2 and Day 8 PCR Tests Belfast
Book your Day 2 and Day PCR 8 tests at our Belfast Clinic
Alternatively, you can purchase a Day 2 & Day PCR Testing package to be delivered to the location where you are self-isolating.
When you visit ‘amber list’ and ‘red list’ countries, you must quarantine for ten days and take PCR tests on Day 2 and Day 8 after your return to the UK. You will be exempt from having to quarantine if you are fully vaccinated when you return from an amber list country, and you need only take the Day 2 PCR test.
You must take the Day 2 test on or after the second day of your quarantine period. The Day 8 test must be taken on or after the eighth day of your quarantine period. The day of your arrival will be Day 0.
You must book the Day 2 and Day 8 tests before coming to the UK. After booking the tests, you will need to enter your test details on the pre-departure passenger locator form. You must produce the completed form for the UK Border Police when entering the UK.
Failure to book the tests before arriving in the UK will result in fines and penalties.
What should I do on my arrival in England?
On your arrival, you must immediately enter quarantine for ten days. If you are coming to the UK from a ‘red list’ country, you must check in to the hotel you will be self-isolating in.
During your quarantine period, you must take the Day 2 and Day 8 tests.
Can I come to your Belfast clinic while I am self-isolating?
You can attend your PCR test appointment at our clinic during your self-isolation. However, you must have a pre-booked appointment for the test at our Belfast clinic. Moreover, you will only be allowed to travel to the clinic and back to your quarantine location from here.
Where is the clinic located?

Do I need to bring anything with me for the test?
To carry out the Day 2 and Day 8 PCR tests, we need your passport.
- The Day 2 and Day 8 tests together,
- The Day 2 test only,
- The Day 8 test only,
- Or our at-home test kits.
You can choose from the following test options based on your need:
Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?
We issue a unique reference number (starting VIVOC) with every Day 2 and Day 8 PCR test booking. You will be required to enter this number in your passenger locator form as evidence of test booking before you come to the UK.
How will I receive my test results?
We send test results to customer emails. Please ensure you provide your correct email address when you book the tests with us.
When will I receive my results?
We aim to supply results within 24 hours of sample collection. But, in extremely rare cases, test results may take as long as 72 hours to be ready. Sequence testing is an intricate process and may take unpredictably longer; never more than 72 hours, however.
Please note, if your test appointment is after 5 pm, it may take up to 48 hours for results to be processed. This is because we send collected samples to our laboratory before that time. Samples collected after 5 pm are dispatched the next day.
What should I do if I test positive?
Testing positive for COVID-19 will mean your quarantine period getting extended. You will be required to start over the ten-day quarantine period from one day after you took the test. The days you spent in quarantine before then will no longer be valid.
What should I do if I test negative?
If results for both the tests come back negative, you can simply stop self-isolating after the mandatory ten days are through. There will be no extensions.
