When arriving in the UK, you must take Day 2 and Day 8 PCR tests while you quarantine for ten days. You must take the Day 2 test on or before the second of your quarantine. The Day 8 test needs to be taken on or after the eighth day. If you get a positive test result on either test, you will need to start another ten-day quarantine one day after the test date.

The tests must be booked before your travel to the UK, as you will need to include details of the test booking on your passenger locator form. You will incur fines and penalties if you fail to do this.

  • What should I do on my arrival in England?

      As soon as you enter the UK, you must begin self-isolating immediately. The government requires that your quarantine period lasts at least ten days.

      If you are returning from a ‘red list’ country, please keep in mind that it is mandatory for you to quarantine in a government-approved hotel. Be sure to make arrangements beforehand.

  • Can I come to your Cambridge clinic while I am self-isolating?

      Travel to our Cambridge clinic is allowed if you have a test appointment booked with us.

  • Do I need to bring anything with me for the test?

      We will require a photo ID from you when you come in for the test. This can be a driving license, passport or BRP.

  • Booking Options

  • Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?

      We provide a unique reference number with each of our Day 2 and Day 8 test bookings.

      When filling in the pre-flight passenger locator form, please be sure to include this number as evidence of your test booking.

  • How will I receive my test results?

      You will be sent an email with your test results as soon as they are ready.

  • When will I receive my results?

      We usually have PCR test results ready within 24 hours of the test appointment. On rare occasions, processing the results may take up to 72 hours because of the intricate nature of sequence testing.

      For test appointments booked after 5 pm, dispatching the results may take up to 48 hours. This is because of the courier service’s 5 pm cut-off time. This may be the case if, for example, your appointment is at 5:15 pm on Monday, then you will receive your result by Wednesday.

  • What should I do if I test positive?

      In the unfortunate event that you test positive for COVID-19, you are required to begin a period of self-isolation from one day after your test date.

      If your Day 2 test result is positive, your quarantine period will then start from Day 3 of your arrival. The same applies to the Day 8 test result. Your previous quarantine days will be rendered invalid.

  • What should I do if I test negative?

      You do not have to do anything. If both test results indicate negative for COVID-19, you are free to end self-isolating after the mandatory ten days are over.

      There is also the option for a Day 5 Test to Release if you are coming to the UK from a ‘non-red list’ country.
