Day 2 and Day 8 PCR Tests Derby
Book your Day 2 and Day PCR 8 tests at our Derby Clinic.
Alternatively, you can purchase a Day 2 & Day PCR Testing package to be delivered to the location where you are self-isolating.
A ten-day quarantine period is mandatory for everyone returning from red list countries and travellers who are not fully vaccinated. Travellers who must quarantine on return to the UK are also required to take PCR tests on Day 2 and Day 8. The arrival date is Day 0.
If the tests are mandatory for you, it is compulsory that you book and pay for the tests before your return to the UK. The Day 2 and Day 8 test appointment details must be entered in the passenger locator form before beginning travel back to the UK. Failure to do this will result in fines and penalties.
What should I do on my arrival in England?
If you come in from a red list country or you are not fully vaccinated, you must begin your quarantine as soon as you enter England. Non-red list country returnees must quarantine at home, while arrivals from red list countries must self-isolate in a hotel. Hotel quarantine must be pre-arranged via the government’s website.
Can I come to your Derby clinic while I am self-isolating?
Yes. Per government guideline, travelling in order for one to attend a PCR test appointment is permitted even during their quarantine period.
However, please take our at-home tests if you start to show symptoms.
Where is the clinic located?
Inside Aston Court Hotel
Do I need to bring anything with me for the test?
When you attend your test appointment at our clinic, we will need to see a valid passport.
- The Day 2 and Day 8 tests together,
- The Day 2 tests only,
- The Day 8 tests only,
- Or our at-home tests.
We can book or purchase from the following options according to what may be most convenient for you:
Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?
Yes. Once you have finished booking your tests with us, you will be sent a unique reference number (starting VIVOC) which you can then enter into your pre-flight passenger locator form.
How will I receive my test results?
We deliver all PCR test results via email.
When will I receive my results?
Typically, our results do not take more than 24 hours to be ready and delivered. However, we have experienced a few rare instances where the testing and results process took longer. Even if that happens, results will still be delivered within 72 hours.
Results for appointments taking place after 5 pm normally requires up to 48 hours to be sent. This is due to the laboratory receiving the day’s samples after 5 pm the following day.
What should I do if I test positive?
If either of your tests come back positive, your ten-day quarantine resets starting from one day after you had taken the test. The previous time you had spent in self-isolation will no longer count.
What should I do if I test negative?
You must simply continue to quarantine until the ten days have been completed. There will be no extensions nor resets.
