After visiting a red list country or a non-red list country without having been fully vaccinated, everyone coming into the UK must quarantine for ten days. During this period, they must take PCR tests on Day 2 and Day 8 (exemptions apply). The day of arrival is considered Day 0.
Everyone to whom the Day 2 and Day 8 tests apply must book them prior to their travel back to the UK. The booking details must be submitted in the pre-departure passenger locator form. Failure to do so will result in fines and penalties.
What should I do on my arrival in England?
On entering England, not fully vaccinated travellers and red list country arrivals must self-isolate for ten days.
Red list country arrivals are to quarantine in government-authorized hotels. Hotel quarantine arrangements must be made via the government’s website before travelling to England.
Fully vaccinated and under-18 travellers coming to the UK from non-red list countries are not obligated to enter quarantine nor take the Day 8 PCR test.
Can I come to your Guildford clinic while I am self-isolating?
Yes, the government regulations permit travelling in order to take PCR tests even when one is in self-isolation.
However, please take our at-home tests if you start to exhibit symptoms.

Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?
Yes. As soon as you have completed booking your test(s) with us, you will receive a unique reference number (starting VIVOC) to submit in your pre-flight passenger locator form.
How will I receive my test results?
You will receive the test results via email.
When will I receive my results?
We typically provide results the next day. Nevertheless, be advised, sometimes in exceptional cases, results may take up to 72 hours to be delivered. This is because, in very rare circumstances, sequence testing takes longer.
Also note, results for appointments that take place after 5 pm usually requires up to 48 hours to be delivered. This is because all samples collected after this time are sent to our lab the following day.
What should I do if I test positive?
If any of your tests come back positive, you must restart your ten-day quarantine from a day after the test was taken. The preceding days spent in self-isolation will not count any longer.
What should I do if I test negative?
You simply must see the full ten days of the quarantine to completion.
