Day 2 and Day 8 PCR Tests Hull
Book your Day 2 and Day PCR 8 tests at our Hull Clinic.
Alternatively, you can purchase a Day 2 & Day PCR Testing package to be delivered to the location where you are self-isolating.
When coming to the UK from a red list country or you were not fully vaccinated at the time of travel, it is required by the law that you take Day 2 and Day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests. Additionally, you must self-isolate for ten days on arrival. However, you need not self-isolate or take the Day 8 test if you come back from a non-red list and you are fully vaccinated.
You need to take the Day 2 test on or before the second day of your arrival, and the Day 8 test needs to be taken on or after the eighth day.
You are required to book these tests before you arrive in the UK. We will give you a unique reference number at the time of booking that you must include in your pre-flight passenger locator form.
If you do not book the mandatory Day 2 and Day 8 tests before coming to the UK, you can incur fines and penalties.
What should I do on my arrival in England?
If you visited a red list country or have not had full doses of the Covid vaccine, please begin self-isolating immediately after being granted entry into the UK. This quarantine period is a legal requirement, and it should last no less than ten days.
All who return from red list countries must quarantine at government-approved hotels.
Can I come to your Hull clinic while I am self-isolating?
The government will only allow travel to a test centre if you have a pre-booked test appointment. If you book in-clinic tests at our Hull clinic, then, by all means, you can come to the clinic during your quarantine period.

Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?
Once you have booked your Day 2 and Day 8 tests with us, you will receive a unique reference number along with your booking confirmation.
You will be required to fill in a passenger locator form before starting your journey to the UK. You must enter this reference number in the form when prompted.
How will I receive my test results?
The Day 2 and Day 8 test results from VIVO Clinic are sent to customer emails.
When will I receive my results?
At VIVO Clinic, we strive to deliver results by the next day. However, the sequence testing is extremely complicated, sometimes getting the results may take up to 72 hours. We assure you that this is very rare.
It is also important to note that tests taken after 5 pm will require up to 48 hours for results to be ready. This is because the courier only operates until that time. For example, if your test appointment is at 5:15 pm on a Tuesday, then you should expect your results on Thursday.
What should I do if I test positive?
A positive test result will render your current quarantine period invalid, and you will be required to begin again from one day after your test date.
If you get a positive result on your Day 2 test, your new quarantine period begins on Day 3 of your arrival.
What should I do if I test negative?
There is nothing you are required to do. As soon as the mandatory ten days are over, you can stop self-isolating.
There are Day 5 Tests to Release for everyone arriving from countries that are not on the government’s red list but are still required to self-isolate.
