Day 2 and Day 8 PCR Tests Middlesbrough
Book your Day 2 and Day PCR 8 tests at our Middlesbrough Clinic.
Alternatively, you can purchase a Day 2 & Day PCR Testing package to be delivered to the location where you are self-isolating.
The UK travel regulations require red list country arrivals and not fully vaccinated travellers to quarantine for ten days on entry. Additionally, they need to take two PCR tests; one on or before Day 2 of the quarantine period and another on or after Day 8. The exemptions to this rule are fully vaccinated travellers from non-red list countries – they need only take the Day 2 PCR test: no quarantine nor Day 8 test.
The Day 2 and Day 8 tests need to be booked before your flight to the UK, as you will be required to include your booking details in the passenger locator form. This form needs to be filled in before travelling to the UK.
What should I do on my arrival in England?
You are legally required to self-isolate immediately upon arriving in the UK if you come from a red list country or are not fully vaccinated. This self-isolation period will last at least ten days per government regulations.
Furthermore, government regulations dictate that everyone arriving from or after having been through countries on the UK’s red list must self-isolate at approved hotels.
Can I come to your Middlesbrough clinic while I am self-isolating?
You can travel to our Middlesbrough clinic for your test. However, you must have a pre-booked test appointment with us for either the Day 2 test or the Day 8 test. And you can only travel between your quarantine location and our clinic.
Where is the clinic located?

- The Day 2 test only,
- The Day 8 test only,
- Or our at-home test kits.

Will you provide a reference number to include in my passenger locator form?
You will get your unique reference number as soon as you have finished booking your Day 2 and Day 8 tests with us. Please be sure to include it in your passenger locator form before you embark on your travels.
How will I receive my test results?
We send our customers’ PCR test results to their respective email addresses.
When will I receive my results?
Our aim is to provide results one day after the test. However, sometimes it may take up to 72 hours. The reason for that is the complex nature of the sequence testing, and it happens very rarely.
Please be advised that tests taken after 5 pm will require up to 48 hours for the results to be produced. This happens because the courier for the day has already gone to the laboratory.
What should I do if I test positive?
A positive test result will nullify your current quarantine period. You have to begin a new one from the day after your test date. The new quarantine period will also be for ten days.
What should I do if I test negative?
You must continue to quarantine for the remainder of the entire ten days.
Non-red list country arrivals can take an optional Day 5 Test to Release to shorten their quarantine period.
