  • How is an RT-PCR test different?

An RT-PCR test, like the normal PCR test, uses swab samples from the nose and throat to find the Covid-19 virus. While an RT-PCR test will allow travellers into countries where a PCR test is an entry requirement, certain countries accept only RT-PCR tests.

  • When should I book the test?

Most countries require visitors to produce a negative test result taken no more than 72 hours before the flight. However, the time window may differ depending on your destination country and airline company, so you must make inquiries beforehand.

We provide both a next-day results service and a same-day results service. You can book your test here.

For the latest travel guidance, please check the government’s website.

  • Will I receive certification?

Yes. If your test comes back negative for Covid-19, we will provide a results certificate via email.

  • What if my test result is positive?

We cannot provide a fit-to-fly certificate if your test result is positive for Covid-19. Instead, you must quarantine for ten days.

If you get a positive result, please contact the NHS, either online or over the phone, by dialling 111.

  • Can you provide same-day PCR test results for multiple travellers?

Yes. Be sure to book individual tests for every traveller in advance.

  • What do I need to bring with me to the test?

Please bring a valid passport when you come to our clinic.

  • Can I have a PCR test kit delivered to me instead of taking the test in-clinic?

You can order a home PCR travel test kit from us here.

However, as most travel destinations require a test taken within 72 hours of travel, the home test may be unsuitable. With the home tests, results are delivered within 48 hours after our laboratory receives the samples.

  • What if I have more questions?

Our helplines are open 24/7, call us on 0333 305 8486.
