Our Tests in Comparison to Government / NHS Tests
Tests booked through the Government website are not for recreational travel purposes and do not supply you with a fit-to-fly certificate. Unnecessary strain is being put on the government system by those attempting to book tests for travel.
Our in-clinic tests are for travel purposes only. If you have COVID-19 symptoms you should book a test via the Government website or buy a test from our online shop.
What is a PCR Test?
Currently, the majority of COVID-19 tests are using PCR. They are the Gold Standard as they detect the genetic information of the virus in the RNA.
This test gives you the best indicator if you are infected and enables you and your close contacts to isolate and reduce the impact of COVID-19 and contain the virus.
What happens next?
A PCR test is done, with the help of an HCP, in one of our Clinics.
A nasopharyngeal swab (nose and throat) is used to collect the sample.
Samples are Couriered to our HSE accredited Lab by 1 pm Mon-Fri.
Results of the PCR Test are emailed to you the following morning.
Why do I need a PCR test for travel?
Many popular holiday destinations require evidence of a negative PCR test result.
Our tests are travel recognised!
You should check with your travel provider or the Government website to ensure you understand the requirements for your chosen destination.
When should I book the test?

Currently, many destinations require that the test is taken within 72 hours of your outbound flight. However, you should check with your travel provider or the Government website to ensure you understand the requirements for your chosen destination.
Will I get a fit-to-fly certificate?
You will receive your test results from our CQC registered lab. You can use your results sheet or email to authenticate your results when required.
The results will be supplied via email.
