  • Information

All arrivals in England from amber and red list countries must undergo a ten-day quarantine (unless you qualify for an exemption). However, your quarantine period may be shortened to as little as five days by taking part in the Test to Release scheme.

With this scheme, if your Covid-19 PCR test result comes back negative, you can stop quarantining immediately. However, you can only take a Covid-19 PCR test five days after your arrival in England.

The voluntary Test to Release scheme only applies to international arrivals in England from amber list countries. If you decide to not take part in the scheme, you will still be required to complete the mandatory ten-day self-isolation period.

If you are fully vaccinated, then you will not be required to self-isolate on returning from an amber list country.

  • When will I receive my results?

Our Brighton clinic provides a next-day results service for £125 and same-day results for £185.

You will receive your results by email. If the results are negative, you may stop self-isolating immediately.

  • Can I travel to your Brighton clinic if I am self-isolating?

Yes. This government scheme permits you to travel to the test location. Be advised; you must restrict your travel to only going to our clinic from your quarantine location.

If you have reason to believe you may have the virus or are displaying symptoms, then you must take an at-home test.

  • How does the Test to Release PCR test work?

A swab sample will be collected from your throat and another from nose at our Brighton clinic. The samples will then be sent to our laboratory for testing.

  • What if I test negative?

Your quarantine period is not affected; you must finish the mandatory ten days. You can book a retest to get a conclusive result if you wish.

  • Can I take part in the scheme after I arrive in England?

No. You must include details of your pre-booked Covid-19 PCR test on the passenger locator form before flying to England.

  • Can I take part in the scheme if I am travelling from a country on the travel ban red list?
