Amber list country returnees who must self-isolate for ten days are able to reduce the period by opting into the Test to Release scheme. By taking part in this scheme, they will be allowed to take an additional PCR test on Day 5. If the result of this test comes back negative, they may stop self-isolating immediately after.
Participation in the Test to Release scheme is voluntary, and only people self-isolating in England may take part in it.
When will I receive my results?
The next-day results service at our Derby clinic is £125.
You will get your test results via email.
What is the Clinic Address?
Inside Aston Court Hotel
How can I opt into the Test to Release scheme?
First, you must book a PCR test on the fifth day of your return to the UK.
Then, you must submit your test appointment details on the pre-flight passenger locator form and select that you confirm you will be taking part in the Test to Release scheme.
Can I travel to your Derby clinic if I am self-isolating?
Yes. Per government guidelines, travelling in order for one to attend a PCR test appointment is permitted even during their quarantine period.
Although if you happen to begin displaying COVID-19 symptoms, please take our at-home tests.
How does the Test to Release PCR test work?
The Test to Release is a simple PCR test. You will submit your nose and throat swab samples at our clinic. Then we will take the samples to our laboratory for testing. The results will be processed and sent to you one day later.
What if I test negative?
You need not continue self-isolating once you receive a negative result. However, you must still take the Day 8 PCR test.
What if I test positive?
On receiving a positive test result, your quarantine period resets to a fresh ten-day period starting from one day after you had taken the test.
Check the NHS website for the latest information.
What if my test result is inconclusive?
An inconclusive test result does not affect your quarantine. You must finish the ten days unless you book a retest and receive a different result.
Can I take part in the scheme after I arrive in England?
You cannot. This is because you must provide the test booking details on your passenger locator form before travelling to the UK to participate in the Test to Release scheme.
Can I take part in the scheme if I am travelling from a country on the travel ban red list?
Only travellers returning from amber list countries qualify to take part in the government’s Test to Release scheme.
