Can I travel to your Newcastle clinic if I am self-isolating?
Yes, but you must be able to prove you have a pre-booked appointment. However, your journey route will be limited between our Newcastle clinic and your quarantine address only.
There is an at-home test option if you exhibit symptoms or happened to be in contact with anyone infected or displaying symptoms.
How does the Test to Release PCR test work?
Similar to regular Covid-19 PCR tests, swab samples from the throat and nose are collected. The samples are then tested at our laboratory for coronavirus.
What if I test negative?
If the test results verify that you are Covid-negative, you may end quarantine right away.
What if I test positive?
A positive result will oblige you to start another cycle of a ten-day quarantine beginning a day after your initial test.
What if my test result is inconclusive?
You must continue to quarantine; however, we do not charge additional fees if the test needs to be redone.
Can I take part in the scheme after I arrive in England?
As mentioned in a previous entry, you must include test appointment details in the passenger locator form before your flight to opt into the scheme.
Can I take part in the scheme if I am travelling from a country on the travel ban red list?
Passengers arriving from a ‘red list’ country do not qualify for this scheme. If you come in from, or via, a country in the travel ban red list, it is essential that you self-isolate for ten days at a government-approved hotel.
