  • Information

If you are returning to England from an ‘amber list’ or ‘red list’ country, you must self-isolate for ten days and undergo Day 2 and Day 8 PCR testing.

While ‘red list’ country returnees must complete the full ten days of self-isolation at a government-approved hotel, ones who are coming in from ‘amber list’ countries have an opportunity to reduce the lengths of their quarantine periods.

The government’s Test to Release scheme is a voluntary program by which people self-isolating in England can take an additional PCR test on Day 5. If the result of this test comes back negative, they may end self-isolation early.

  • When will I receive my results?

Our results services include next-day results for £125.

      Results are dispatched via email.

  • What is the Clinic Address?

The address of our Oxford Clinic is:

      Marriott Oxford City Centre
      15 Paradise Street
      OX1 1LD

  • How can I opt into the Test to Release scheme?

To participate in the Test to Release program, you must book your Day 5 PCR test before you begin travelling to the UK. Once you have your booking confirmation, include your test appointment information in the pre-flight passenger locator form to confirm that you are opting in.

  • Can I travel to your Oxford clinic if I am self-isolating?

Yes, you can, but only if you have a PCR test appointment at our clinic. However, you must follow a travel route restricted between your home and our clinic.

You can also order our at-home PCR test if you suspect you may be infected or exhibit COVID-19 symptoms.

  • How does the Test to Release PCR test work?

The Test to Release uses standard PCR tests. The test involves looking for COVID-19 RNA in a subject’s samples collected from the nose and the throat.

  • What if I test negative?

On receiving your result, you can stop self-isolating right away. However, you must take the Day 8 PCR test as well.

  • What if I test positive?

On getting back a positive PCR test, you will need to restart your quarantine from one day after you had taken the test. The new quarantine period will also be for ten days, and the days spent self-isolating prior to the test will not count any longer.

  • What if my test result is inconclusive?

You may book a retest for yourself; however, you must continue to quarantine until you receive a conclusive result.

  • Can I take part in the scheme after I arrive in England?

No. You must choose to opt into the scheme before you fly to the UK by filling in the pre-flight passenger locator form.

  • Can I take part in the scheme if I am travelling from a country on the travel ban red list?

Only people arriving in England from ‘amber list’ countries are eligible to participate in the Test to Release scheme.

If you are returning to England from a ‘red list’ country, you must observe the self-isolation period to completion at a hotel approved by the government.
