Not fully vaccinated travellers are legally required to quarantine for ten days on entering England from non-red list countries. The required quarantine period can be cut down to five days by opting into the Test to Release scheme for such travellers.
You can take a PCR test by opting into this scheme five days after your arrival. If you test negative for COVID-19, then your self-isolation period ends early.
Participation in this scheme is optional and only applies to arrivals in England.
When will I receive my results?
We offer a next-day results service for £125 and a same-day results service for £165 at our Sheffield clinic.
Your test results will be conveyed to you via email.
What is the Clinic Address?
The address of our Sheffield Clinic is:
The Stillpoint Practice

How can I opt into the Test to Release scheme?
Before travelling, you are required to book a PCR test for a date five full days after your arrival.
Confirm where it asks if you want to opt into the Test to Release scheme and enter your test appointment details on the passenger locator form.
You can book an appointment for a Day 5 PCR test at our Sheffield clinic here.
Can I travel to your Sheffield clinic if I am self-isolating?
Yes, but the journey must remain restricted to only coming to our clinic. You must have a pre-booked Covid-19 PCR test appointment to do this.
If you are symptomatic or have reason to suspect an infection, you must take an at-home test.
How does the Test to Release PCR test work?
The COVID-19 PCR test involves the extraction of swab samples from your throat and your nose. The samples acquired are tested at our laboratory for coronavirus.
What if I test negative?
With a negative test result, your quarantine can end right away.
What if I test positive?
Testing positive will require you to restart your ten-day isolation from one day following the test date.
Please refer to the NHS website for the latest advice.
What if my test result is inconclusive?
You can book a retest if you want. You must, however, continue self-isolating for the remainder of your quarantine period.
Can I take part in the scheme after I arrive in England?
As details of a pre-booked test appointment are required on your passenger locator form before travelling to England, you cannot do that.
Can I take part in the scheme if I am travelling from a country on the travel ban red list?
Passengers arriving from, or travelling through, a red list country cannot opt into this scheme. The ten-day mandatory quarantine laws apply.
