Slovenia has opened its borders to arrivals with some restrictions in place, and domestic restrictions are almost fully lifted.

Can I travel to Slovenia?

Citizens of the EU and Schengen member countries, as well as citizens of the following countries can now travel to Slovenia:
  • Australia 🇦🇺
  • New Zealand 🇳🇿
  • Serbia 🇷🇸
  • Uruguay 🇺🇾
Arrivals form non-EU/Schengen countries that are not listed above, may enter with restrictions.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to Slovenia?

Slovenia has implemented different quarantine requirements for arrivals from Green, Orange, and Red countries.
  • Anyone arriving from a country on the Green List and who has not visited or transited through a country on the Red List, will not be required to enter into quarantine on arrival.
  • Anyone arriving from a country on the Orange List, from non EU/Schengen countries, will be required to enter into 10 day quarantine on arrival, unless they meet one of the exemptions. EU members will not be required to quarantine.
  • Anyone arriving from a country on the Red List will be required to enter into 10 day quarantine on arrival, or present a negative PCR test, no older than 48 hours.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Slovenia?

  • Anyone arriving to Slovenia will undergo a health screening.
  • Anyone from an Orange or Red country, that is allowed to enter Slovenia, will be required to present a negative PCR test, or go into quarantine.

Is public transportation open in Slovenia?

Public transportation in Slovenia is operating, though travel between municipalities is limited to essential travel only.

Are the restaurants and bars open in Slovenia?

  • In Red zones, restaurants and cafes are open for takeout and delivery only.
  • In Orange and Green zones, restaurants and cafes are open under social distancing requirements.

  • In Red zones, non-essential businesses and attractions in are closed.
