South Korea's borders have officially remained open, however visa issuance has been mostly suspended. Domestically, measures are in place to prevent the virus spread.

Can I travel to South Korea?

  • Though Korea hasn't officially closed its borders, visa-free arrivals have been suspended, and applying for visa in advance is required for all countries. Tourist visas are mostly being declined.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to South Korea?

  • Anyone arriving to South Korea is required to undergo 14 days self-quarantine or quarantine in a national facility.
  • Business travelers and other approved essential travelers will not be required to quarantine, if presenting negative test results, and testing again upon arrival.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to South Korea?

  • Most arrivals to South Korea must present a negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours.
  • Arrivals from high-risk countries must present a test no older than 48 hours before departure.
