The complete effects of the HIFU Facelift require at least 3 months to appear and can take up to 6 months after the final treatment session.

Regardless, a fifth of our HIFU treatment clients reports being able to experience visible results immediately following the very first in-clinic session.

It is important to note that due to each person responding differently to HIFU, it is only natural that results become visible at different periods.

HIFU Facelift on Female Face

HIFU Facelift does not trigger any pain. However, there may be some discomfort during the in-clinic treatment.

The discomfort experienced by patients has been expounded as feeling like mild prickling accompanied by tingling akin to bursts of electric pulses.

HIFU can be employed to provide anti-ageing benefits to virtually all areas of facial skin and some neighbouring skin.

At the VIVO Body Studio Glasgow, the face can be treated in its entirety, or specific areas can be treated independently.

In addition, the skin of the neck and décolletage can also be treated using HIFU as part of the non-invasive facelift treatment.

The full list of the areas included in our HIFU Facelift service is as follows:

  • Traditional Facelift (S-section)
  • Eyelift
  • Jaw lift
  • Neck lift
  • Décolletage
  • Upper facelift
  • Lower facelift
  • Full face, neck & décolletage

It is typical for most users of the HIFU Facelift to be able to attain the most effective outcomes after 1 – 2 treatments.

Nevertheless, a lot of people end up requiring more consecutive treatments before they can achieve their desired goals.

At our Glasgow clinic, an in-clinic HIFU Facelift session usually takes no more than 1.5 hours to reach its conclusion.

Once the full effects of the treatment materialise, they will stay around for a minimum of 6 months.

On average, however, the effects of HIFU are capable of lasting for up to 2 years.

In a year or two, the skin will naturally start to show signs of ageing. Patients may take advantage of HIFU Facelift again for continued benefits.

The aftercare routine, while an extremely important part of the HIFU treatment, is not particularly demanding and lasts a very short while.

Generally, HIFU aftercare is comprised of drinking plenty of water, protecting the treated area from sunlight and hot water, and not consuming alcoholic beverages.

Additionally, patients may use HD Thermal Cream and C-TOX as part of the HIFU aftercare routine.

Our clinical practitioner at the Glasgow clinic will provide detailed aftercare instructions during the HIFU consultation.

The side effects of HIFU Facelift include swelling and redness on the treated area.

Both the swelling and redness are moderate at worst and temporary.

They will subside within a handful of days.

Some patients also tend to experience some mild tingling that may last for a few short weeks after the treatment.

HIFU Facelift at Glasgow, as well as our other sites, is very safe.

At VIVO Body Studio, we are committed to ensuring that our clients can always rely on all our treatments being exceptionally safe.

The equipment used in our Glasgow clinic is CE-certified and examined regularly.

Furthermore, it goes without saying none of the risks or safety issues related to surgical facelifts is present with the HIFU Facelift.

A person undergoing HIFU Facelift does not have to recover afterwards.

This is actually one of the most convenient benefits associated with most of the non-surgical treatments that VIVO Body Studio provides.

Once a person has completed their HIFU session, they can leave the clinic to immediately get back to their regular activities.

Patients undergoing Cryolipolysis (Fat Freeze) and FemiWand Vaginal Tightening at VIVO Body Studio Glasgow can expect the same benefit of no downtime.

Before the actual in-clinic procedure begins, a brief clinical consultation takes place.

The patients are guided through the details and essential information about the HIFU treatment.

Specifics like expected benefits, side effects, and aftercare are discussed, among other things.

Patients are encouraged to bring up any concerns and questions regarding the treatment during this consultation session.

Following the discussion session, patients must undergo a short skin analysis and patch test.

Once these return encouraging results, the clinician will proceed with the actual HIFU procedure.

Although formal preparation is not required, we do ask our clients to be cognizant of a small number of things.

First, clients who are about to undergo HIFU Facelift must see to it that the area of the treatment does not tan.

Regardless of how the tan develops, we do not administer HIFU on tanned skin for reasons pertaining to safety.

We also ask our patients not to use any irritation-causing skin products during the week leading up to the HIFU treatment appointment.

And if patients are on prescription medication, we request that they schedule their in-clinic HIFU appointment at least 2 weeks after the last prescribed dose.

We further request patients not use any make-up or facial moisturiser on the day of the HIFU appointment.
