The technology behind the treatment seamlessly merges the cosmetic utilities of high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) and radiofrequency (RF) energies.
EMSCULPT procedures involve employing ergonomic applicators to administer synchronised HIFEM and RF energies to the areas of the body being treated.
HIFEM stimulates high-tension muscle contractions that surpass the maximum limits achievable through physical exercise.
Resultantly, the intensity of the induced stress influences the muscles to compensate and restructure by forming more muscle fibres and cells.
The exposure of RF in the treatment area is two-fold.
First, the heat from the RF promptly increases muscle temperature, similar to warming up before physical training.
This raised temperature effectively prepares the muscles to sustain the high-tension contractions of HIFEM.
Second, the RF heat triggers apoptosis of fat cells in the subcutaneous layer – meaning the excess fat under the skin is permanently and effectively dismantled.
The damaged fat cells are then removed from the body via the lymphatic system.
In terms of pain, there is none—zero pain. In fact, a person undergoing the treatment will not even feel so much as a pinprick.
The EMSCULPT procedure is completely non-invasive and non-surgical, and as such, there is not even a need for anaesthesia.
During the treatment, one may feel mild heat in the area being treated – that is all.
As for side effects: the treated area may be sweaty and red at the conclusion of a session.
While the sweat will subside immediately afterwards, the redness may last up to 24 hours maximum.
Also, the treated muscles will feel a tiny bit sore for a day or two – not unlike after a workout at the gym or physical training at the park.
Due to its fat reduction aspect, the EMSCULPT procedure results in the body detoxifying via lymphatic drainage.
This can trigger fatigue and excess thirst for up to 24 hours.
Additionally, the detox feature of the treatment may also lead to feeling slightly bloated for a short period, not dissimilar to other cleansing treatments.

This was my second treatment. The salon is lovely with a pleasant waiting area. My therapist, Misbah was knowledgeable and professional and put me at ease straight away with her friendly demeanor - I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout. The treatment is slightly uncomfortable but I chose to have the highest setting to get the maximum benefits - you can reduce it to a lower setting if you find it uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend going - try and book with Misbah as she goes the extra mile to make you feel relaxed and pampered.
