Once the treatment has concluded, at least 3 months is required for the full results to appear.

However, for full results to become visible for a majority of our clients lies between 3 to 6 months on average.

It is also worth noting that one out of five patients is able to experience it immediately after the first HIFU session.

Essentially, due to every individual reacting differently to the treatment, the time it takes for the results to show up tends to vary.

HIFU treatments do not result in pain.

Nevertheless, there is some discomfort associated with the facelift treatment.

During the in-clinic session, it is normal to feel tingling akin to electric pulses, prickling sensations, and some focused warmth.

People with more sensitive skin can take over-the-counter pain medicines like ibuprofen right before their HIFU appointments to help cope with the discomfort.

HIFU can be used in almost any area of the skin.

Besides the entire face and individual areas of the face, we also treat the neck and décolletage as part of the HIFU Facelift.

At our Leeds clinic, you can book in-clinic sessions as part of the HIFU Facelift treatment for the following:

  • Traditional Facelift (S-section)
  • Eyelift
  • Jaw lift
  • Neck lift
  • Décolletage
  • Upper facelift
  • Lower facelift
  • Full face, neck & décolletage

The aim of this treatment is the lessening or complete elimination of the signs of ageing from the facial skin.

Most of our clients at the Leeds clinic are able to achieve full treatment goals after only 1 or 2 HIFU sessions.

Regardless, as explained in a previous section, the number of in-clinic sessions required for the most successful outcomes varies from patient to patient.

It is only natural that some people may require more HIFU sessions than others.

Up to 90 minutes is required per HIFU Facelift session at our Leeds clinic.

You will be provided with the exact amount of time your HIFU appointment will last from your clinician during the initial consultation.

The full effects of the treatment, once they are visible, will stay on for at least 6 months.

Nevertheless, depending on skin type and overall lifestyle, the results do stay on for between 18 and 24 months.

It is important to note, however, that HIFU Facelift is not a magic remedy for the signs of ageing.

Following the HIFU treatment, the skin will continue to age naturally.

So, the signs of age will return sooner or later as you grow older.

Still, you can continue enjoying the anti-ageing and skin-tightening benefits of the treatment with additional HIFU sessions after a year or two has passed.

When it comes to HIFU treatments, aftercare is essential.

In order for the skin to achieve maximum benefits and long-lasting results, patients are advised to observe the aftercare guidelines carefully.

The clinicians at our Leeds clinic will provide you with complete aftercare instructions as part of the treatment consultation.

Generally, patients should expect the following to be part of the aftercare for HIFU:

  • Staying sufficiently hydrated
  • Protecting the skin from sunlight exposure
  • Avoiding alcohol consumption for a few days
  • Avoiding baths and showers with hot water

Further benefits can be achieved when using HD Thermal Cream and C-TOX during the aftercare period.

The side effects associated with HIFU Facelift are some swelling and a little redness after the treatment.

Though, both are short-term (a few days at most) and gentle.

Some people may also feel a slight tingling after the treatment. The sensation may continue for only a few weeks.

VIVO Clinic’s HIFU procedure is quite safe.

The safety and satisfaction of our clientele are always our main priority. All our equipment is CE-certified, and they are inspected regularly for safety.

Furthermore, with HIFU Facelift, patients never have to worry about the risks associated with surgical facelift procedures.

One of the more practical advantages of the HIFU Facelift is that it does not require patients to recover from it.

Essentially, once an in-clinic HIFU treatment session concludes, you can simply get on with your daily activities.

This is true for almost all of our non-surgical treatments provided at the Leeds clinic

Cryolipolysis (Fat Freeze) and FemiWand Vaginal Tightening are two of our most popular treatments available at the Leeds clinic. They also do not necessitate any downtime on the patient’s part.

A clinical consultation typically starts off the in-clinic HIFU appointment at our Leeds site.

The clinician who will conduct the treatment discusses HIFU and the benefits, side effects, and aftercare associated with it.

They will also address your questions and any worries you may have regarding the treatment.

Once you are satisfied with the information provided during this consultation, the clinician will proceed on to the skin analysis phase.

After they have analysed your skin, the clinician will perform a short patch test before using the handheld HIFU applicator to carry out the treatment.

We normally urge our patients to be aware of only a few things before the HIFU Facelift treatment.

A minimum of two weeks prior to the in-clinic HIFU session, the patient must ensure the area of treatment does not develop a tan.

We do not perform HIFU procedures on sunburned or recently tanned skin, regardless of the source of the tan, for safety issues.

At least a week before the HIFU session is to take place, patients are advised to stop using lotions, moisturisers, serums, makeup products, and other skincare items that irritate the skin, regardless of the degree of irritation.

We request our clients not to wear any makeup or have on any skin products (including moisturisers) on the day of the treatment.

The HIFU procedure requires the area of treatments to be clean and dry.

As for patients who may be using prescription medication (oral, topical, or otherwise), they must ensure when booking the in-clinic session that at least two weeks have passed after the last dose.

Also, please bear in mind that if you have a fever or cold sore on the day of the treatment, you will be asked to reschedule.
