Following the final HIFU Facelift treatment session, it is commonly reported by our clients that they see the benefits of the treatment appearing within 3 months.
Around 20% of our clients reportedly experience visible treatment benefits immediately after only the first session.
Nevertheless, every individual responds differently to HIFU, and, as such, the time it takes for results to become visible is also different.
The skin tightening benefits of HIFU Facelift, on average, tend to fully show up within 3 to 6 months of the last in-clinic session.
Although there are reports of clients having felt some discomfort during the treatment, there are no reports of pain.
The discomfort created by HIFU has been described as being tingling sensations and focused warmth.
For our clients with more sensitive skin, we recommend taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen that are available over the counter before the in-clinic session.
HIFU can be applied to almost any area of the facial skin. Thus, practically the entire face may be treated.
Furthermore, HIFU can also be used to treat the neck and décolletage.
At our Leicester clinic, you will be able to schedule HIFU Facelift treatments for the following areas of and around the face:
- Traditional Facelift (S-section)
- Jaw lift
- Neck lift
- Upper facelift
- Lower facelift
- Full face, neck & décolletage
The intended purpose of the HIFU Facelift treatment is the reduction or total removal of signs of ageing from the face.
The same method can be used to achieve these results on the skin of the neck and décolletage as well.
In a vast majority of our clients, up to 2 in-clinic HIFU sessions are sufficient in order to achieve the most successful results.
However, depending on the area of treatment and the condition of the skin, the number of sessions required can increase.
In most cases, the effects of a HIFU treatment begin to manifest within 6 to 8 weeks.
The full benefits become visible within 3 to 6 months of the final in-clinic HIFU session.
In-clinic HIFU sessions in our Leicester site do not take more than 90 minutes in total.
A more precise estimate of the time required in-clinic can be provided by your clinician during the initial consultation.
Once the full results of the HIFU Facelift result sets in, they stay for up to 6 months.
However, subject to lifestyle and care, the lifetime of the treatment’s results can be extended to stay on for up to 18 to 24 months.
The HIFU Facelift is not a magic cure for ageing.
The anti-ageing benefits of the treatment unavoidably disappear as the skin naturally grows older.
You can always schedule additional treatments every few years for continual anti-ageing benefits.
HIFU aftercare may be as important as the treatment itself.
If you follow the aftercare instructions properly, you can easily extend the longevity of the full benefits.
You will be given comprehensive aftercare instructions by our clinician at the Leicester clinic.
The common HIFU aftercare steps comprise of:
- Consciously drinking plenty of water
- Avoiding sunlight exposure
- Not drinking alcohol for a few days
- Not using hot water for baths, showers and washing up
Additional benefits can also be achieved if HIFU aftercare supplements like HD Thermal Cream and C-TOX are used as part of the aftercare routine.
Clients normally report a slight swelling and some redness after they have had HIFU Facelift.
These side effects tend to be mild and last for only a few days.
For people who have extra sensitive skin, a mild tingling sensation may last for a few weeks.
VIVO Clinic’s HIFU Facelift in Leicester is a very safe treatment.
While none of the risks associated with surgical facelifts is present, the safety standards maintained by VIVO Clinic are exceptional as well.
Our clinicians are experienced and fully trained, and the equipment used for the treatments is continuously reviewed for safety.
Even though the treatment is very effective at tightening facial skin, there is no need for recovery afterwards.
As no surgical procedures are involved in HIFU Facelift, there is no downtime either.
In fact, all of our treatments at Leicester are non-surgical, and you can expect none of them to involve downtime.
The HIFU appointment at our Leicester clinic will commence with clinical consultation.
The clinician will explain how the treatment works and what kind of results you should expect.
They will also respond to any queries or concerns you may have.
Following this will be a skin analysis session and a brief patch test.
In total, the pre-treatment stage of your HIFU appointment should take around 30 – 40 minutes.
We typically recommend only a few things for our clients to be aware of and do in preparation for the HIFU Facelift treatment.
Starting a minimum of two weeks before your HIFU appointment, you must safeguard your skin from getting a tan.
We cannot perform HIFU procedures on tanned skin, whether the source of the tan is the sun or something else.
One week before your appointment, you must stop using lotions, creams, makeup products, and other skincare products that cause irritation, no matter how small.
When you attend our Leicester clinic for your HIFU appointment, do not use any moisturiser or makeup.
Our clinicians require your face to be clean and dry to be able to perform the treatment.
In case you are on prescription medication, please do not schedule your in-clinic treatment session until two weeks have passed after your last dose.
Also, please keep in mind that if you turn up at our clinic with a fever or cold sore, we will ask you to reschedule your HIFU appointment.
