VIVO Clinic Newcastle Upon Tyne

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Following the HIFU treatment, most patients report that full results can be seen within 3 months of the final in-clinic session.

It is also vital to note that the process is different from person to person.

However, the average timeline for full result visibility is between 3 to 6 months after the treatment has concluded.

Around 1 in 5 patients are able to see the results immediately after a single in-clinic HIFU session.

HIFU Facelift

HIFU Facelift is a relatively painless procedure.

Some of our more sensitive clients report feeling some discomfort in the form of focused warmth and tingly sensations.

While our clinician can turn down the intensity settings on the HIFU device in these instances, if you think it is applicable for you, you may take painkillers, such as ibuprofen, shortly before your appointment.

As the name suggests, the treatment can be done on almost all areas of the face.

However, the HIFU Facelift procedure can also be performed on surrounding areas such as the neck and décolletage.

Here is a full list of areas treated in our Newcastle clinic using HIFU:

  • Traditional Facelift (S-section)
  • Eyelift
  • Jaw lift
  • Neck lift
  • Décolletage
  • Upper facelift
  • Lower facelift
  • Full face, neck & décolletage

A vast majority of our clients benefit from the intended results after 1 to 2 in-clinic sessions.

However, some clients may need a few more cases before they achieve the anti-ageing benefits.

The effects following a HIFU procedure begin to appear within 6 to 8 weeks of its completion.

The full effects manifest in 3 to 6 months of the concluding HIFU session.

Your HIFU appointments at our Newcastle clinic will typically take up between 30 and 90 minutes.

The clinical practitioner taking care of your treatment will be able to give you a more accurate estimate of how long you should expect the in-clinic sessions to last.

The full effects of the HIFU Facelift are present for around 6 months on average.

It is important to keep in mind that while the HIFU Facelift can remedy signs of ageing, it is not a wonder cure.

Following the procedure, the skin will continue to age naturally, and signs that come with age are bound to return.

For continued benefits, you may want to have the procedure repeated after a year or two has passed.

The clinical practitioners at our Newcastle clinic will provide you with a full set of aftercare instructions as part of the treatment.

The aftercare routine commonly comprises of doing the following:

  • Drinking plenty of fluids (water is best)
  • Protecting yourself from strong or direct sunlight
  • Give up drinking alcohol for a few days
  • Avoid washing with hot water, including hot baths or showers for a few days
  • Do not scratch the treated area

Some patients are prescribed extra care HIFU aftercare supplements like HD Thermal Cream and C-TOX.

For the better part, HIFU Facelift is free from side effects.

Some clients, however, experience some mild redness and swelling following the in-clinic sessions.

These tend to subside fairly quickly, a few days at most.

Clients with sensitive skin may also feel a slight tingling in the treated areas for a few weeks.

Every single treatment offered by VIVO Clinic is perfectly safe, including the HIFU Facelift at our Newcastle clinic.

All our clinical treatments are non-surgical and do not result in any of the risks associated with surgical counterparts.

Patient safety and well-being are at the forefront of all our clinical services.

Despite being a highly effective clinical procedure, HIFU Facelift does not require you to recover from it.

You can typically continue your normal activities as soon as you are done with your in-clinic treatment session.

Other non-surgical treatments with the same benefit offered at our Newcastle clinic include Cryolipolysis (Fat Freeze) and FemiWand Vaginal Tightening.

The clinician at the Newcastle clinic will consult with you regarding the treatment.

During this consultation, you may bring up your concerns and queries.

The clinician will conduct a skin analysis and patch test after the consultation.

This part of the treatment does not require more than 30 to 40 minutes.

There are only a few things you need to be mindful of in preparation for your HIFU treatment.

In the two weeks leading to your scheduled treatment session, be extra deliberate in protecting yourself from the sun.

It is not appropriate to perform HIFU procedures on tanned skin, whether the tan is from the sun or other sources.

You must stop the use of skin products that cause irritation, even if it is mild, at least a week before your in-clinic schedule.

On the day of your HIFU appointment, you must ensure that your face is clean and dry; you must not use any makeup or moisturiser.

Before you schedule your treatment appointment, be sure that at least two weeks have passed since you have taken the last dose of any prescription medicine.

Please note that we must insist that you reschedule your session if you have a fever or a cold sore on the day of your treatment.
