The treatment involves using micro-burns to eliminate excess skin from the eyelid, resulting in permanent tightening effects.
It’s crucial to remember, though, that it does not stop the normal ageing process of the eyelids.
The Plasma Eye Lift treatment as offered at our Nottingham clinic, can help clients achieve their desired results in just one or two visits.
However, some individuals may need additional sessions based on their age and the condition of their eyelids.
To determine the right number of treatments for you, it is advisable to consult with one of our skilled professionals before scheduling your in-clinic appointments.
The Plasma Eye Lift treatment at our Nottingham location usually lasts around 60 minutes.
However, if you have a consultation with the clinician during your appointment, it could take longer than an hour.
The Plasma Eye Lift procedure involves the use of the Lipo Freeze Plasma Spark Pen to ionise gases in the air, which creates plasma.
The pen has a 0.3mm needle surface that causes small, superficial burns on the eyelid skin without penetrating or harming the surface of the skin.
The resultant plasma burns that form on the eyelids take the appearance of small dots.
Essentially, the plasma vaporises the excess skin tissue of the eyelid, leaving a carbon crust behind.
The carbon crust will eventually fall off, and the skin will be left firmer and tighter than before the treatment.
Many individuals undergoing the Plasma Eye Lift process do not experience severe pain, but some may feel some level of discomfort.
This discomfort can range greatly among individuals and depends on their personal pain threshold.
It is essential to speak with your clinician if you experience any discomfort during the treatment so that they can take steps to alleviate it.
After undergoing a Plasma Eye Lift, it is not uncommon for patients to experience temporary side effects such as scabs, swelling, and redness.
These symptoms typically dissipate within a few hours, though scabbing may take a few days to fully heal.
Some individuals may also feel irritation following the procedure, but this should subside relatively quickly.
After undergoing a Plasma Eye Lift, the body will generally take 3 to 14 days to heal fully.
It is not uncommon for scabs to form, but these will typically disappear within a week.
There may also be some swelling and redness, but these symptoms should subside within two weeks.
After receiving a Plasma Eye Lift treatment, it is imperative to protect the treated area from the sun by using broad-spectrum sunscreen and avoiding direct sunlight for the first six weeks.
The treated area should also be kept clean and dry, and makeup or mascara should be avoided until it has fully healed.
To clean the treated area, only use warm water. If there is swelling, cold compresses can be applied.
It is essential to avoid scratching the treated area as it can lead to infection or scarring.
Some people may experience light blistering or have skin that appears pink while it is healing, but this should return to its natural colour once the healing process is complete.
There are certain medical conditions or circumstances that would make it unsafe for an individual to undergo the Plasma Eye Lift procedure.
These include having certain health conditions, having had previous surgery or laser treatments in the eye area, being pregnant or breastfeeding, having a pacemaker, having metal implants or pins in the treatment area, having cancer, or having HIV/autoimmune disorders.
