BOTOX® has a very little impact on your activities. Following the injections, we recommend you adhere to a few simple pieces of Botox aftercare advice listed below.
What should I avoid doing following a BOTOX® treatment?
- Try not to excessively rub/massage the treated area, especially in the first four hours.
- Avoid drinking an excessive amount of alcohol
- Avoid strenuous exercise or activities for 24hrs
- Do not constrict treated area with hats or headwear
- Stay upright for the first four hours
How long before I can exercise again?
Wait for at least four hours before resuming any light exercise such as jogging. Just remember to only participate in upright activities during this time.
More strenuous exercise can be resumed after 24 hours.
Are there any side-effects?
BOTOX® is a safe treatment, but like most medicines, there is a small risk of side-effects which we explore in detail on the BOTOX® side-effects page.
If you believe that you are having an adverse reaction to a treatment please call us straight away on 0333 012 4956
How long do results last?
BOTOX® is a long-lasting treatment. Results will vary from person to person but typically last between 12-16 weeks.
Can I have BOTOX® more than once?
Yes. BOTOX® is a temporary treatment that softens lines and wrinkles. You can get a top-up treatment when the lines begin to show again.
Can I wear makeup following the treatment?
Yes. We recommend that you are not wearing makeup when you have your treatment and also refrain from applying makeup for the first hour following the procedure.
Will it affect my sleep?
BOTOX® will not directly affect your sleep. Remember that’s important to stay relatively upright for four hours following your treatment. Therefore it is recommended that you do not go to bed within this time.
