The fat freezing method is quite effective for removing excess fat.
Moreover, research shows excellent efficacy.
Even so, it is always important to remember that any treatment will produce different results in different individuals.
The ideal end result involves giving treated areas a slim, toned look.
Cryolipolysis can potentially remove an average of 22% – 45% of fat cells in the course of a single in-clinic session.
The actual portion of fat cells that is purged by cryolipolysis is not the same for every person undergoing it.
Various factors define how much fat is reduced for an individual undergoing the treatment.
These factors include the area of treatment, the overall size of the fatty region being treated, and the density of fat.
While cryolipolysis is a brilliantly effective fat-removal procedure, it does not aid in weight loss.
Although substantial amounts of fat cells are permanently removed via the process, the weight loss is less than negligible, if at all.
As the body has a limited quantity of fat cells, your body will not restore the fat cells lost through cryolipolysis.
The fat cells that are removed through this treatment are removed permanently.
Nonetheless, if your lifestyle and diet are unhealthy, the remainder of the fat cells can grow in mass to accommodate excess calories.
There are two transient side effects associated with the cryolipolysis treatment.
The side effects reported by clients who undergo the procedure are swelling and redness.
Both the side effects are very mild and temporary – they dissipate within a few days.
While the procedure is actively underway, most clients have reported feeling a mild numbness from the fat freezing applicator’s sub-zero temperature.
While it is extremely popular for cryolipolysis to be performed on the stomach, the procedure is equally effective when done on other body parts.
Other body parts that we offer cryolipolysis for at our Liverpool clinic include:
- Upper and lower back
You do not need to recover after undergoing a cryolipolysis treatment.
Since the technology used for the treatment bypasses all surgical requirements for fat removal, there is no post-treatment downtime.
Essentially, after cryolipolysis is performed on you, there is nothing for you to recover from.
One of the best benefits of most of the non-surgical treatments offered at our Liverpool clinic is not having to recover afterwards.
You can, in fact, step out of the clinic following your cryolipolysis appointment and resume doing literally anything you may have planned for the day.
The precise number of cryolipolysis sessions you will need to achieve the most successful results will be set following a consultation with our clinic practitioner.
Various factors are taken into account when determining how many in-clinic sessions will be needed.
Such factors include the density of fat, the area of the body, and the overall size of the treatment area.
Many can receive full benefits of the treatment following a single session, while others may require multiple sessions to achieve similar results.
Although we are not able to promise any specific results, research indicates a minimum average of 22% of fat cells being removed from the body with each session.
Obesity cannot be treated using cryolipolysis.
The fat freezing treatment, as the name suggests, specifically removes fat cells from the body by freezing them.
The intended outcome of the treatment is a slimmer and sculpted appearance on certain regions of the body.
Cryolipolysis is not a cellulite removal treatment.
However, VIVO Clinic Liverpool offers a similarly non-invasive procedure: Cellulite Reduction Treatment.
The anti-cellulite treatment is non-surgical, effective in its intended use, and does not require any recovery time.
If you want to treat stretched, loose, or sagging skin, the Radio Frequency Tummy Tightening treatment can be availed of at VIVO Clinic Liverpool.
Cryolipolysis, however, cannot tighten loose skin.
Similar to our other non-surgical treatments, a face-to-face clinical consultation will begin the fat freezing treatment.
You will be provided with detailed and relevant information regarding the procedure.
Furthermore, any questions and worries you may have will be addressed.
After the consultation and skin analysis, the clinician will place a gel pad on the treatment area.
This will be followed by the use of a cryolipolysis applicator which will suck in the portion of the body area to be treated.
The suctioned portion of fat will then be subjected to a temperature of -7°C.
It is natural to feel some mild cramping at this point, but the sensation will quickly turn into numbness.
The entire procedure should take no longer than 30 to 90 minutes to reach its finish.
The FDA approved this fat freezing technique for cosmetic procedures in 2010.
At first, the authorisation only allowed cryolipolysis for stomach fat reduction. Approval for cryolipolysis for use in the rest of the treatment areas was given a few years later.
This fat removal technique was originally encountered by Harvard scientists when they noticed the considerably sized dimples forming on children’s cheeks as they ate popsicles.
The way the fat cells in the cheeks were destroyed and removed without affecting the outer skin and other neighbouring tissues was referred to as ‘cold-induced fat necrosis.’
