This dermal filler aftercare advice is provided so that you know what to expect following your treatment at VIVO Body Studio.
How long will the effects last?
This can vary from person to person, but results can last for up to 18 months. This will also depend on the type of product that is used, which varies depending on your requirements. For example, we may not use the same product to reduce frown lines as the product we use for lip filler treatments.
Are allergic reactions possible?
Most of the products we use contain hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally within the body. Some products contain collagen stimulants, most of which also occur naturally in the body. As a result, the chances of a significant allergic reaction are slim, however, some redness and swelling may occur.
Can I touch my face?
Please try to wait for at least six hours before touching your face
Will I be in pain following the treatment?
It is uncommon, but you may experience some bruising which is best treated with a cold compress, such as an ice pack.
Can I exercise after dermal fillers?
It is recommended that you refrain from strenuous exercise for a week following your treatment. It should also be noted that activities such as yoga (where you are inverted) may increase swelling as more blood will flow to the face.
Can I drink alcohol during the treatment?
No.
Ok, can I drink alcohol after the treatment?
Alcohol can thin the blood. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not drink alcohol for two days before and after the treatment as this may increase the likelihood of bruising and swelling.
Can I fly after having dermal fillers?
There is no evidence to suggest that flying has a negative reaction to dermal fillers.
Are there any side-effects or risks that I should be aware of?
We discuss this in more detail on our dermal fillers side-effects page. It is also something that will be discussed during your consultation. Call 0333 012 4956 for more details.
What about sunbathing, tanning, saunas, and hot tubs?
Any sort of intense heat should be avoided for one week.
Dermal fillers can be a quick and safe way to reduce the signs of ageing and enhance your natural beauty. Following this dermal filler aftercare advice will enable you to avoid common mistakes and improve the results of your treatment.
