Facelift Treatment

HIFU has a long and proven track record as an effective medical application, and more recently benefits have also been discovered in the cosmetic sector.

There exist numerous non-invasive facelift treatments, but only HIFU is capable of targeting both the surface and SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer.

The SMAS is the layer is located approximately 4.5mm beneath the skin. It is the same tissue that is adjusted during facelift surgery. Unlike surgery however, this high-intensity treatment is safer and more affordable.

How it Works

A highly-advanced applicator delivers high-intensity ultrasound beams. Individually the beams can pass through the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissue, right down to the SMAS layer. When the beams converge they create a node of thermal energy. This node causes the muscle tissue to contract, tightening the skin and stimulating collagen fibre production*.

What areas can be treated?

Crow’s feet and frown lines are caused when collagen in the skin breaks down. This is a normal part of the ageing process but a HIFU facelift can be used to treat the following parts of the face:

• Crow’s feet
• Drooping jaw
• Sagging eyebrows
• Frown lines
• Double/triple chins
• Cheeks

Sessions / Results

The number of sessions required can vary, though commonly just one or two sessions are needed for results that last up to two years*.

The majority of results are experienced within the first 3-4 weeks, although further changes may be seen for up to six months.
