We look at the November stats of travellers who have booked trips this month.
The UK lockdown and changes to international PCR testing and entry requirements have resulted in some interesting data, so let’s take a look.

Most popular travel destination from the UK for November
Compared to October, the top five UK travel destinations are largely the same with the exception of Spain which has risen 31 places.
This data is based on a survey of travellers who have undergone PCR testing. The significant increase for Spain can be attributed to a regulation change which made PCR tests mandatory from the 23rd November for high-risk origins (including the UK). Britons booking a post-lockdown holiday in places like the Canary Islands have therefore had to take these additional measures.

Why are people travelling?
Most people booking trips in November cited visiting friends and family as the reason for travel. Business was the reason for just over a quarter of trips and leisure accounted for just 20% due to the UK lockdown.
Largest increases in travel popularity
Entry requirements for Oman are still very strict. Entry for British nationals is limited to repatriation and all borders are closed. The increase in popularity may be attributed to Omani nationals travelling from the UK post-lockdown to visit friends and family.
A similar explanation can be applied to most of the other countries on this list where changes in regulations have made travel possible.

Largest decreases in travel popularity
In some cases, these changes are attributed to changes in travel restrictions. For example, New Zealand is currently closed for travel with only a few exceptions. In other cases, PCR testing requirements may have changed. For example, Tanzania only requires a PCR test if you are showing symptoms.
