Ageing is a natural process that affects all beings. The first wrinkles and fine lines appear around the age of 20. Even though you can’t stop ageing, there are ways to slow its progress and look young until late in life. A balanced diet combined with proper skin care and regular exercise can do wonders for your complexion. No anti-aging cream or serum can match the benefits of good nutrition.
If you’re struggling with the first signs of ageing, consider doing some lifestyle changes. Here are some tips to help you out:
Go Organic
Organic produce boasts more nutrients than conventionally grown foods. They also taste better and contain no pesticides or additives that may harm your skin. For instance, organic blueberries and apples have higher antioxidant levels compared to conventional produce. An antioxidant-rich diet can add years to your life and reverse the signs of ageing.
Ditch the Junk
Processed foods are jam-packed with trans fats, sugar, preservatives, and chemicals that affect collagen production and speed up aging. If you want to look young, clean up your diet and eat mindfully. Avoid any ingredients that you can’t easily pronounce. These substances not only harm your skin, but also cause hormonal imbalances, slow down your metabolism, and trigger chronic diseases.
Limit Sun Exposure
According to dermatologists, the sun is the skin’s worst enemy. Regular exposure to UVA and UVB rays reduces collagen levels in the skin, causes discoloration and dark spots, and triggers premature ageing. To prevent these issues, apply sunscreen before leaving home.
Nourish Your Skin
Forget about fancy creams and make your own anti-aging products using all natural ingredients. Coconut oil, argan oil, olive oil, tea tree oil, brown sugar, honey, and goat’s milk nourish your skin and slow down ageing. For example, coconut oil is rich in healthy fats that kill harmful bacteria and moisturise the skin. Brown sugar exfoliates dead skin cells and unclogs your pores. Lemons can lighten your complexion and fade dark spots.
Make sure you also get plenty of rest and avoid stress. Poor sleep affects your skin’s ability to produce collagen and heal itself.

My treatment took longer than expected as I was advised by the online team I’d only need a certain amount, but during her assessment I needed more. She was very understanding, stayed later to do most of my treatment and then booked me in for the remainder. She’s very warming, engaging and welcoming, and also gave me extra advice on how to get the best out of my treatment courses.
Misba is an absolute star and highly recommended!
